Pearce would like to recognize Shelly Wallace as our September Employee of the Month!
Shelly joined our team 6 months ago as a Counselor for our Before Care Program and Kids Club.
She has previously worked as a teacher’s aide at the grade school for 15 years and has worked in a daycare/nursery setting. She has helped with youth at church, both during the Sunday School year and Summer Camp.
In her free time, Shelly likes going to Farmer’s Markets, reading, hanging out with her friends and spending time with her grandson and family. She also has a dog named Iris who is 3 years old.
Her favorite part of working at Pearce is the friendly & nice staff…and of course the KIDS!! They are the best – they are always making her laugh & smile.
When asked about her favorite/most amusing members at Pearce – since she works with children – her answer is the kids. You never know what they are going to say or do! 😊
Three words that could be used to describe Shelly are: nice, funny and calm.
Her favorite saying is from her Dad – “Always give 110%.”
Shelly hopes that people can see her friendliness, she tries to smile and say Hi to everyone she sees here. You might not know that she is a Candy Crush addict and tends to be a homebody.
She prefers books over movies because you get more details.
