Pearce would like to recognize Amanda Beadles as our November Employee of the Month!
Meet Amanda Beadles, one of our Yoga Instructors here at Pearce Community Center! Amanda Beadles has been a valued member of the Pearce Community Center team for over two decades, sharing her passion for wellness and mindfulness through yoga. Her journey with Pearce began thanks to a little encouragement from Laura Kelly, who suggested Amanda get her yoga certification because Pearce needed a nighttime yoga instructor and, as Amanda says, “the rest is history.”
Outside of Pearce, Amanda loves to immerse herself in all that Chillicothe has to offer. She enjoys attending local events, hiking, reading, planting flowers, and traveling. Her favorite quotes, “Leave a place better than you found it” and “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” perfectly capture her approach to both life and teaching.
Amanda’s favorite part of working at Pearce is the people she meets and the sense of calm and relaxation that follows each yoga class. Those who know her best describe her as an encourager, a lifelong learner, someone with a positive outlook, and an includer.
When asked what she hopes to bring to Pearce, Amanda says she aims to share relaxation, help others reduce stress, and offer kindness and understanding whenever possible.
Something you might not know about Amanda: she has a love for mysteries! She enjoys attending mystery dinner theaters, especially those by the Chillicothe Players and has been fascinated by centenarians since grade school. She recalls asking her mom in amazement, “Can people really live to be over 100?!”
Pearce is grateful for Amanda’s many years of dedication, positivity, and the sense of peace she brings to every class.
