November 2024 Employee

October employee of the month alisha morrow with reddish-brown hair up in a bun wearing a blue t-shirt

Pearce would like to recognize Alisha Morrow as our November Employee of the Month!

Alisha joined our team this year as our Leagues Coordinator.

She has her degree in Parks & Recreation and works full-time as a Physical Education Teacher in Morton.  She has prior experience managing fitness facilities and working with the Bloomington Parks & Recreation in Youth Sports.

In her free time, Alisha likes to watch her son, Tage, play sports, workout as a family, and walk her dogs (Teeka, Zola, and Keno).

Alisha’s favorite part about working at Pearce is working with the staff.  It’s been great getting to know them. We work as a team and help each other when needed!

When asked about her favorite/most amusing members at Pearce, Alisha said she loves to see Bill (dad) and Brett (son) walking the track.  Bill is dedicated to helping Brett walk laps with his walker.  Alisha believes everyone should have someone to push them to stay healthy!

Three words that could be used to describe Alisha are passionate, hard-working, and creative.

Her favorite saying is, “Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” – Coach John Wooden.

In her current role as Leagues Coordinator, Alisha has grown and developed new programs in the youth leagues department.  She loves to find ways to make programs enjoyable for the kids and hopes to continue to do so at Pearce!

Something you may not know about Alisha is that she has worked at several gyms, with Barack Obama being the most memorable member that she has ever signed up.

When asked, do you prefer books or movies, Alisha says she enjoys both but will always choose to read a book before watching a movie.

Thank you, Alisha, for choosing to be a part of our Pearce family!
