Pearce would like to recognize Lucas DuPont as our March Employee of the Month!
Lucas has been at Pearce for about 6 months in our Aquatics department as a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. Lucas teaches group swim lessons and swim club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He also lifeguards on the weekends.
Lucas joined Pearce as an instructor after participating in Swim Club and Swim Team (Pearce Piranhas) for many years. He took lessons from Matt Storti for years and now assists Matt as an Assistant Instructor to the very program he once participated in!
Lucas is a student at Illinois Valley Central (IVC) and loves band and choir! He plays the marimba in band and sings baritone in choir. He is also skilled at origami and enjoys folding in his free time.
Lucas also enjoys caring for his pets. He has a purebred collie named Theoden who will be 7 in March. He also has a few fish and 2 rats, Mary and Pippin, who are 2 months old.
Lucas says his favorite part of working at Pearce is, “I love teaching swim club. The kids have more skills than the ones in lessons, so I can do more with them to help them grow. I still love teaching the younger ones in lessons, but swim club is my favorite”.
Three words Lucas says describe him are: determined, loyal and quiet!
Thank you, Lucas for choosing to be a part of our Pearce family!
