Pearce would like to recognize Nancy Scherer as our July Member of the Month!
Nancy has been a member of Pearce since 2014! Nancy is retired after 37 years of self-employment working with her husband, Mike, carving, painting, and selling decorative wooden ducks and songbirds.
Nancy’s next-door neighbor, Helen, asked her to join her in the chair aerobics class held at Pearce. After taking one class, Nancy immediately wanted more from Pearce and joined as a member to participate in more of the classes.
Nancy enjoys the friendships she has made at Pearce and feels so welcome and respected by the Pearce staff. Nancy states, “I am called by my name when I come into Pearce and feel so respected for what I have accomplished so far with my exercise and wellness”.
Nancy is still conquering old and new goals that she has set for herself. She has joined the Pickleball players on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Nancy says, “They are so welcoming to new players and we have so much fun playing”. Nancy is training for her very first 5k run, Run For The Health Of It on July 9th. We invite all to come out and cheer her on as well as the many other runners/walkers.
In her free time, she likes to play cards with friends, participate in all of her activities at Pearce, spend time with her great-grandsons, and read mystery books.
An inspirational thought Nancy lives by is Never Say Never!
Advice Nancy would give to other members of Pearce is “Keep on keeping on” no matter what age you are!
Thank you, Nancy, for choosing to be a Pearce member!
