February Members of the Month
Pearce Celebrates the Beyer Family – Leanne, Mike, Miles, and Simon – as our February Members of the Month!
The Beyer’s have been members at Pearce for just about 10 years. Originally, Leanne and Mike just joined to work out, but following the births of Miles (11) and Simon (5), they’ve become largely involved in our youth programs — especially basketball. Simon is currently playing in the Biddy Ball division, and Mike and Leanne are coaches.
In addition to their involvement with the youth programs, Leanne and Mike are often found in the weight rooms, on the walking track, or attending a group fitness class, and they enjoy staying active with the boys in the pool and on the basketball courts.
Leanne is an attorney at Praire State Legal Services in Peoria, and Mike is an Engineer at Caterpillar. In their spare time, the Beyer’s enjoy spending time together as a family hiking, watching movies, and going out to eat at different restaurants.
Their advice to their fellow Pearce members: “Be nice to the coaches and referees — they have hard jobs!”
