Pearce would like to recognize Alex Donovan as our February Employee of the Month!
Alex is currently a freshman at Illinois Central College and has been a lifeguard and swim instructor at Pearce for 4 years!
Alex was nominated to be our February member of the month because the kiddos he teaches swim lessons to love his calm, positive energy! Alex states that he, “Hopes to bring a feeling of welcome-ness and safety to Pearce, either as an instructor for the kids I teach or as a lifeguard for all our members.”
Alex’s favorite part about working at Pearce is the bond he has made with his co-workers and the kids he has taught. Pearce’s Athletic Manager says, “Alex is reliable. I know I can always count on him. He focuses on his job whether it’s lifeguarding or instructing, the kids love him!”
When he is not studying or working at Pearce he enjoys playing video games, reading books (his favorite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), watching movies (his favorite movie is Star Wars – Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith), and listening to music. Another interesting fact about Alex is he went to England, France, and Spain in the summer of 2019. He stated, “That was the best trip of my life!”
