Pearce would like to recognize Kayla Doll as our December Employee of the Month!
Kayla joined our team last year as one of our lifeguards, swim lesson instructors, and camp counselor.
Kayla joined our staff because she wanted to continue her passion for lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons during the winter season when the outdoor pools are closed.
In her free time, Kayla likes to go shopping, hang out with her friends and family, she enjoys going out to eat, and watching movies. Kayla also enjoys spending time with her pets: her dog (Ollie), snowball hamster, and two fish.
Kayla’s favorite part about working at Pearce is getting to see the kids enjoy their time at Pearce and working alongside her friends and fellow swim instructors Josh, Izzy, and Madelyn.
When asked about her favorite co-worker at Pearce – Kayla said she enjoys working with Josh, he has a great attitude, is easy to talk to, he’s funny, and down to earth.
Three words that could be used to describe Kayla are hardworking, caring, and adventurous.
Her favorite saying about life can be summed up into three words, “It goes on!”
In her current role as swim instructor and camp counselor, Kayla hopes to teach the kids she works with bravery – teach them that it is okay to try or learn something new. She also hopes to bring happiness to those she works with, both members and staff.
Something you may not know about Kayla is that she has three siblings and she has been a dancer and softball player for 12 years.
When asked, do you prefer books or movies, Kayla says she enjoys movies – any horror movie. Her all-time favorite movie is Twisters (the new version).
